FAQ

A Q&A with our President, Dan Weisiger...

  • What makes Innovae, now IMEG “unique” as an Engineering Company, compared to other firms that serve the Life Science, Food and Beverage, and Discrete Manufacturing industries?"
One thing for sure: It’s not the type of project or specific technical scope of work we execute that differentiates Innovae, as all other design engineering companies undertake the same scope of work and associated challenges. Innovae, now IMEG’s uniqueness come from the creative, efficient, and focused way our team executes our work to meet the projects’ underlying success goals. This requires carefully selecting and aligning the appropriate staff that has the right expertise and relevant experience to support the size and complexity of the project, followed by timely/continuous communication with the client stakeholders. I also believe our project team’s intuitive feel beyond the project’s scope, schedule and budget requirements, is an essential element to planning and creatively overcoming the challenges (hard and soft risks) often inherent throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • What key aspects do you often see as your Client’s over-arching goal to achieve?
Here at Innoave now IMEG, we know that our Life Science, Food and Beverage, and Discrete Manufacturing clients want to get their product to market as quickly as humanly possible. Ultimately, the product manufactured must reliably meet the product specifications and comply with the regulatory requirements. Our 35 years of leadership in multi-discipline industrial design ensure we achieve our clients' goals.
  • The PM and Design team are expected to meet Scope, Schedule and Budget on every industrial design project:  Which of these three do you feel are most important?"
Of course, all three of them are important. The Client’s stakeholders and Project Team can appreciate that the goal is to meet all three. That said, for any given project, when competing priorities become an issue that can have a serious impact on the outcome, the Client will ultimately determine/decide the priority. The Project Manager/Design team can assist the Client by providing input through identification of the perceived risks vs rewards behind the competing priorities.
  • How do you measure good professional character of your individual team members?
Good character can be defined in three different areas: Professionalism, Honesty and Integrity consistently exhibited through the entire project life cycle. Good character can often be challenged during highly stressful and/or desperate situations. Maintaining a positive “can-do” attitude, showing respect to the collective team (they too can be part of the solution), and perseverance until a positive resolve is achieved - are all key attributes of good professional character!
